Sadie “Patsy” Fern Strawbridge 87, of Riverton, died at 7:09 am on Friday, May 3, 2024. She was born December 18, 1936 in Tulsa, OK. Patsy was a strong Christian who believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior and is now walking the streets of gold in heaven. She married Homer G. Flanagan in 1952 and he preceded her in death. She later married William J. Strawbridge and he survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Pamela (Joseph) Klinger of Springfield; three sons, Gary (Darla) Flanagan of Riverton, Jimmie (Becky) Flanagan of Loami, and William (Monica) Flanagan of Riverton; two stepsons, Mark (Teresa) Strawbridge of Springfield and Richard Strawbridge. She had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Linda Pierceall.

Patsy was as an Office Manager for Presney, Kelly and Presney and a bookkeeper for Lincolnland Title Company. After retirement, she coordinated the Meals on Wheels program through the Senior Services of Central IL and was a bus monitor for the Riverton School District. She was a Past Matron of the Venus Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Riverton.

Patsy enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, sewing, and quilting. She truly enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Private services were held with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Daily Bread Program – Senior Services of Central Illinois.
