Twyla Joyce (Letz) Saffer went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 17, 2024. She was born on March 20, 1937, to Henry and Blanche (Brown) Letz of Cantrall, IL. She married her high school sweetheart, James L. Saffer on June 3, 1956, and he preceded her in death on December 20, 2022.

Twyla led a full and active life as a devoted wife, stay at home mom, executive secretary, and a doting grandmother.

She was liked by all and enjoyed travelling, dancing, and homemaking. She was a dedicated member of West Side Christian Church. Twyla and Jim did most everything together and supported each other through the ups and downs of their 66 years of marriage.

Surviving are son, Perry (Debra) Saffer of St. Charles, MO; daughter, Carla (Mitch) Lucie of Hendersonville, TN; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Janet Daniels of Springfield.

Visitation: 9:30 – 11 am, Monday, December 23, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral: 11 am, Monday, December 23, 2024, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Cindy Lash officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Step Women’s Center or Lake Springfield Christian Assembly.
